Form Auto Filler Help
Form Auto Filler Settings

Start with Windows - select this option if you want to start Form Auto Filler with Windows. By default, this option is on.
Fill only empty fields
If the 'Fill only empty fields' option is on, Form Auto Filler will fill empty fields only. If this option is off, Form Auto Filler fills both empty and non-empty fields
Use the java script 'on click' method
This option allows you to set variable values in forms that use java scripts to save values
Use current form for filling and submitting
If this option is on and current Form's url matches an url opened in your browser, Form Auto Filler will automatically fill a web form with current form's information. Otherwise you will have to select the form from the 'Forms' list.
Delay between form filling and submitting - this option allows you to set the delay between form filling and submitting
'Name'='ID' if 'Name field' is empty and 'ID'='Name' if 'ID field' is empty options simplify work with forms which contain fields' IDs instead of fields' names and vice versa
E.g. If your web form contains IDs but your form in the program contains Names and you select the 'ID'='Name' if 'ID' field is empty, the program will link Names in the program with IDs in your web form.
Page identification - this feature allows you to set a page identification rule depending on you needs - by page title or by page url
Set 'select' type fields to
- 'Use value's number'
- 'Use value'
Get full list of drop down fields
If this option is on, Form Auto Filler will save a full list of information stored in the 'select' type field(s). While editing form information you will be able to select the necessary data from the drop down list.
If this option is off, only the data (value, value's number in the drop down list) that was selected from the drop down list will be saved. While editing the form information you can't change the value - you can change the number of the selected value.
Form fields linking
While filling forms you can select 'Form fields linking' rules that greatly increases number of forms that can be filled using Form Auto Filler:
- 'by field name and field type'
- 'by field order number and field type'
- 'by field ID and field type'
In most forms each field has its own permanent name. To fill this type of forms, you should select the 'By field name and field type' rule.
However, there are forms where fields' names are not unique or not permanent (e.g. fields' names are randomly generated every time you visit form's web page). To fill this type of form, you should select the 'By field order number and field type' rule.
If form's fields don't have names but IDs, you should use the 'By field ID and field type' rule.
You can view your page source to detect which form fields linking you should use or you can try the rules one-by-one until you find the correct form filling.
Fill form action
No default action
If 'No default action' is selected, Form Auto Filler will perform an action of your hotkeys combination.
If there is at least one Form that matches a web page/url, you will see the list of Forms that match this url. Note: To show the full list of forms, click the 'Show all forms' button.
If there are no Forms that match a web page/url, you should select the necessary Form from the list of all Forms
Fill form
If there is only one Form that matches a web page*, to fill a web form, you can use any hotkeys combination (Ctrl + Alt + F or Ctrl + Alt + Z) as the action selected in a Form has higher priority than the action of the hotkeys combination.
E.g. if the 'Fill form' action is selected in the Form, it doesn't matter which hotkeys combination you use Ctrl + Alt + Z ('Fill & Submit form') or Ctrl + Alt + F ('Fill form'), Form Auto Filler will perform the 'Fill form' action.
Fill & Submit form
If there is only one Form that matches a web page*, to fill and submit a web form, you can use any hotkeys combination (Ctrl + Alt + F or Ctrl + Alt + Z) as the action selected in a Form has higher priority than the action of the hotkeys combination.
E.g. if the 'Fill & Submit form' action is selected in the Form, it doesn't matter which hotkeys combination you use Ctrl + Alt + Z ('Fill & Submit form') or Ctrl + Alt + F ('Fill form'), Form Auto Filler will perform the 'Fill & Submit form' action.
*Otherwise:
- If more than one Form match a web page/url, after you press Ctrl + Alt + F or Ctrl + Alt + Z, you will see the list of Forms that match the url. To see the list of all forms, click the 'Show all forms' button.
- if there are no forms that match a web page/url, after you press Ctrl + Alt + F or Ctrl + Alt + Z, you will see the list of all Forms.
